Recently, Russia and Vietnam officially announced the Eurasian Cross-Border railway project at the 47th ASEAN Summit. The 2,200-kilometer line links the two countries via Mongolia and China. Once completed, it will serve as a key land corridor connecting the Eurasian continent. Linzhou Public Service Railway Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “LTRF”) will closely follow the project and contribute to regional transportation network upgrades.

Project Orientation and Strategic Value
This cross-border railway stands as the core of the Eurasian land corridor. It mainly handles export freight from Russia’s Tuva Republic, Mongolia, and southern China. The project delivers significant economic benefits and carries important geopolitical and strategic weight. It will boost Russia’s hub status in the Eurasian transportation network and improve Vietnam’s logistics and port infrastructure.
Project Progress and Cooperation Plans
Transportation enterprises from Russia, Vietnam, and China will kick off specific preparatory work in 2025. Government special agencies and the private sector will jointly tackle financing issues. Russia’s Far Eastern Shipping Company (FESCO) has partnered with Vietnamese railway enterprises to launch a direct rail service. The route runs from Vietnam to Moscow via China and Mongolia, taking about 35 days on average with weekly departures. Its efficiency matches traditional multimodal routes through Far Eastern ports. Vietnam has signed a technical support agreement with China. FESCO plans to increase direct freight train frequency to Vietnam to 6 per month, enhancing transportation capacity further.
LTRF’s Role in Regional Railway Development
As a professional railway equipment manufacturer, LTRF has specialized in rail equipment R&D and production for years. It boasts rich experience in providing high-quality products and technical support for large cross-border railway projects. Moving forward, LTRF will focus on core railway construction needs. The company aims to support deeper regional connectivity and economic cooperation, contributing to the global railway transportation network upgrade.
