US DART Silver Line to Open on Oct 25/2025
Sep 18, 2025 – Linzhou Public Service Railway Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. News: Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) President and CEO Nadine Lee announced that the highly anticipated DART Silver Line will open on Saturday, October 25, 2025. As one of the region’s most expected rail expansions in decades, this project will bring new energy to North Texas’ public transit network.
US DART Silver Line: Opening Celebrations and Free Ride Incentives
To celebrate the opening, DART will hold a big event on the first day, including live music, cultural shows, family activities, and honors for sponsors and partners. Moreover, on opening day, all DART lines will offer free rides. The Silver Line itself will stay free until November 8 to let more people try it, which is expected to encourage widespread use of the new service.

Nadine Lee shared the opening date at the end of the third annual “State of the Agency” event. She said, “The Silver Line keeps our promise to riders and the region. DART Board Chair Gary Slagel added, “The Silver Line helps build a stronger, more connected region. It’s an investment for today’s riders and future generations. We’re proud to open it and welcome everyone.”
