    Description of Panlock

    Panlock is a locking device for railway track fastener systems, mainly used to fix rails and sleepers to ensure that the rails remain stable under long-term train loads and temperature changes.

    Working principle

    Panlock fixes rails by mechanical self-locking + elastic buckling:

    • Locking wedge insertion: During installation, the locking wedge is hammered or pressed into the fastener slot to form a rigid constraint.
    • Elastic buckling: Apply continuous downward pressure to prevent the rail from jumping up and down or moving laterally.
    • Anti-longitudinal slip: The inclined design of the locking wedge can resist the longitudinal force generated by the rail due to thermal expansion and contraction or train braking.

    Installation steps

    1. Pre-install fastener system: place rail pads, insulating gaskets, etc. according to design requirements.
    2. Place rails: After adjusting the gauge and level, install elastic fasteners.
    3. Insert Panlock: Use special tools to knock the locking wedge into the fastener slot until it is fully locked.
    4. Inspection and acceptance: Ensure that the locking force meets the standard and there is no looseness or deflection.

    Function

    • Prevent longitudinal displacement of rails: Prevent rails from creeping when temperature changes or train brakes.
    • Enhance track stability: Reduce relative movement between rails and sleepers, and improve track geometry retention.
