Project brief:
The East Coast Rail Link of Malaysia was constructed by China Communications Construction Group. Construction officially began in 2017 and is scheduled to be fully operational in January 2028. The railway is approximately 600 kilometers long, with a designed passenger speed of 160 kilometers per hour and a freight speed of 80 kilometers per hour. It adopts the Class I railway dual-purpose electrified standard track technology for both passenger and freight transportation, connecting the Port of Batu Pahat on the west coast and the economic special zone on the east coast, and spanning four states in Malaysia, forming a railway-sea transportation intermodal channel.
This railway is an important transportation infrastructure project in the planning of the East Coast Economic Zone of Malaysia. It will comprehensively promote the coordinated development of Malaysia’s economy and society. The railway will connect the important towns on the east coast of Malaysia and the economic centers on the west coast, forming a railway transportation trunk line running east-west across the Malay Peninsula. This will greatly promote the development of industries such as trade, logistics, imports and exports, and tourism, and enhance the convenience of people’s lives.
The role of our company (LTRF) in the project:
Our company (LTRF) was honored to participate in the East Coast Rail Link Project of Malaysia and provided a complete set of track fasteners, including I-type and II-type track fixation systems, etc. The design of these fasteners aims to firmly fix the steel rails on the sleepers, prevent longitudinal and lateral movement, and ensure the accuracy of the track gauge. It is precisely because our company has long focused on the production of high-quality railway equipment, with strict control over raw materials, production processes, and inspection processes, that we successfully won the opportunity to participate in the East Coast Rail Link Project of Malaysia.
